Mercedes-Benz India appoints Adfactors PR as communications partner

Mercedes-Benz India has appointed Adfactors PR as its new communications partner, effective April 1, 2025. The partnership was established after a multi-agency evaluation process. Adfactors PR will oversee the integrated communications programme for the luxury carmaker, including its product portfolio, corporate narrative, and corporate citizenship initiatives. Mercedes-Benz India has also made strides in enhancing its customer experience strategy. Positioning itself as India’s leading luxury automotive brand, Mercedes-Benz offers a range of locally manufactured vehicles, including the A-Class, C-Class, E-Class, and S-Class. The company also sells electric vehicles like the EQS 580 sedan and EQS SUV. Adfactors PR will support Mercedes-Benz India in strengthening its position as a leader in sustainable luxury mobility, aimed at the growing number of luxury consumers in India. The agency will work to amplify the brand’s values of engineering excellence and innovation, further aligning with the market's evolving luxury landscape.

McCann Worldgroup India restructures leadership team

McCann Worldgroup India has announced key leadership changes with Kamal Basu elevated to executive director and chief growth officer, and Jyoti Mahendru appointed as chief talent officer and national communication officer. Basu, who joined McCann in 2023, has led accounts for global brands such as Unilever and British Airways. His earlier roles include CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi India and senior positions at Rediffusion DY&R and Ogilvy. He also spent a decade leading marketing at Skoda and Volkswagen in India. Mahendru, an HR leader with over 25 years of experience, previously worked at VML India where she managed organisational integration during a major merger. She holds an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad and specialises in HR frameworks, culture management, talent development, and organisational transformation. McCann Worldgroup India is part of the global McCann network and offers integrated marketing and communication services across the country.

Rahul Sinha to anchor Zee News’ DNA

Zee News has appointed veteran journalist Rahul Sinha as the new anchor of its primetime news show DNA (Daily News & Analysis), aiming to reinforce the programme’s editorial depth and national focus. Sinha, with over 27 years in journalism, returns to DNA to lead the show with renewed direction. His role includes delivering in-depth analysis, contextual reporting, and editorial independence while aligning with Zee News' national focus. The network stated the revamped DNA will prioritise credibility, clarity, and accountability in its nightly broadcasts. The show will continue to examine the impact of national and international developments across policy, politics, and society. DNA airs nightly at 9 PM and is part of Zee News’ broader content strategy.

Bombay Design Centre rebrands as BombayDC

Bombay Design Centre has rebranded as BombayDC, marking a shift in focus to building digital products through integrated design, strategy, and engineering services. Founded in 2015, the company has evolved from a design-led studio into a firm that incorporates engineering, product strategy, behavioural science, and artificial intelligence. The rebrand reflects this shift and includes a new visual identity featuring Midnight Green. BombayDC will concentrate solely on digital product development, while its sister firm BRANDED will handle brand consulting. The company said the separation is aimed at improving focus and clarity for both internal teams and clients. The new identity was introduced as the company completed 10 years in business. Its revised positioning includes delivering end-to-end digital solutions and building scalable digital systems for enterprise and consumer use. BombayDC’s updated website and brand platform are now live.
