EMVIES 2011: Mindshare crowned ‘Agency of the Year’

The agency topped the leader-board with 160 points; Lodestar UM followed with 110 points

Amidst clanging cymbals, beating drums and loud horns, Mindshare India won the ‘Best Media Agency of the Year’ award at EMVIES 2011.The agency emerged the clear winner with 18 metals including three Gold, eight Silver and seven Bronze awards accounting for 160 points.

Lodestar UM was the runner-up with 110 points. The agency won two Gold, two Silver and 12 Bronze awards at this year’s EMVIES.

Maxus completed the top three chart with 70 points in their kitty with a total of ten metals that included four Silver and six Bronze awards, seven of which were for its client Tata Sky (The brand's 'We Mixed India' campaign picked up three Silvers and a Bronze). 

Mindshare won the Gold awards for its 'Your Trusted Beauty Companion' campaign for Be Beautiful in the category of 'Best Media Innovation - Digital (Mobile)', its 'India Bleeds Blue!' campaign for Nike in the category of 'Best Media Innovation - Digital (Web)' and 'Changing the Game...for Youth, Cricket and Pepsi' campaign for Pepsi in the category of 'Best Integrated campaign'.

Lodestar UM won both their Gold awards for their work on Amul. Case studies for 'Amul takes the road less travelled' campaign in the Best Media Strategy - Consumer Products category, and 'Tasty Dish Verna Game Finish' campaign for Amul MasterChef India in the Best Media Innovation -Branded/Scripted Content category earned them the metals. 

Mediacom Communications missed out being in the top three by a whisker, and ended their run at EMVIES 2011 with 65 points. The agency’s Grand EMVIE win for their case study of Talking Newspaper for Volkswagen Vento fetched them the crucial 25 points to catapult them to the fourth position. Mediacom ended the evening with one Gold, one Silver and three Bronze awards.

Fifth on the leader-board, Madison Media Infinity won two Gold, one Silver and four Bronze metals to finish their run with 60 points. Mudra Max’s two Gold, one Silver and one Bronze fetched them the sixth spot with a total of 45 points.

GroupM’s Dialogue Factory with their solitary Gold award and Madison Media Plus with three Bronze awards ended their respective outing with 15 points. Interface Business Solutions won a Silver metal accounting for their 10 points, while JWT, MEC and ZenithOptimedia India won a Bronze award each to enter the leader-board with five points.
