Gautam Dalal joins DNA as marketing head

Diligent Media Corporation, which publishes Daily News and Analysis (DNA), has roped in Gautam Dalal (pictured) as vice-president, marketing.Dalal joins from BIG FM (Mumbai), where he was associate vice president. He was with the FM station for a year. At DNA, he replaces Sheena Shaji who quit in July last year.

Diligent Media Corporation, which publishes Daily News and Analysis (DNA), has roped in Gautam Dalal (pictured) as vice-president, marketing.

Dalal joins from BIG FM (Mumbai), where he was associate vice president. He was with the FM station for a year. At DNA, he replaces Sheena Shaji who quit in July last year.

Commenting on his appointment, Dalal said, "In it's endeavour to grow, DNA shall leverage it’s strong connect with consumers, differentiated offering and in-depth coverage to generate a buzz around the brand. Marketing shall play a pivotal role in enabling the above through innovations, thus building threshold returns for our advertisers too. I am excited to be here and look forward to the thumping pace, that one enjoys in media, especially the print industry."

K U Rao, CEO, Diligent Media Corporation said, "Gautam has several years of experience and he's worked in several MNCs. He has a structured approach towards his work and DNA would certainly stand to benefit from his addition to our team, to take the brand to the next level."

Dalal began his career at Philips where he spent seven years, joining as a management trainee growing on to become a senior brand manager. He then joined BSA Motors as general manager-marketing and was with the firm for two and half years, before moving on to join BIG FM.
