Goafest has entered into a strategic partnership with D&AD to curate skill development masterclasses at the festival’s 17th edition, which kicks off on 29 May in Mumbai. 

The three masterclasses curated for the advertising and media festival are designed around the event’s central theme of 'The Age of Adaptability'.

Each session has been crafted to equip industry leaders, professionals, and enthusiasts with actionable strategies and transformative ideas to redefine the industry's landscape. It aims to educate attendees through real-world insights. 

Speaking on the collaboration, Jaideep Gandhi, chairperson of Goafest 2024 said, "At Goafest, our vision has always been to push boundaries and redefine the standards of creativity. This partnership with D&AD is a testament to our dedication to providing unparalleled learning opportunities and empowering attendees with skills and ideas that will shape the future of the creative industry."

The ‘Trend immersion’ masterclass will help attendees identify emerging trends and differentiate them from fads to inspire fresh thinking and encourage the application of past learnings. The ‘Unlock award-winning ideas’ workshop unpacks insights on the making of inspiring and impactful campaigns including wins from D&AD Pencil.

The third masterclass ‘Unpacking brand iconicity’, is an interactive session that explores how brands are using the iconic elements of their identity and will provides tips for getting to the heart of a brand. It will explore recent trends in brand identity, understand the making of ownable iconicity and develop an identity into a brand story.

Goafest's delegation line-up from media and creative agencies includes Havas Media, Publicis Media, Group M, Madison Communications, Initiative Media, OMD, Zenith Optimedia, TLG India, L&K Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, FCB Group and Havas Worldwide. Brands like Nestle, Tips Industries, Kotak General Insurance, Airtel, Bennett Coleman, ABP Group, Zee Media and Navabharat Media Network will also be present at the event.

Sam Balsara, chairman of the delegates committee for the event, said, “Goafest has always been a beacon of creativity and innovation in the advertising industry.
