Goafest brings back 'Advertising Rocks' musical showcase for 2024

Showcase your musical chops at this year's festival, as the melody-filled contest returns for its second year.

Goafest brings back 'Advertising Rocks' musical showcase for 2024

Building on the enthusiasm generated by its debut last year, Goafest 2024 is set to re-introduce 'Advertising Rocks'—an initiative that provides a stage for individuals from India's advertising, media, and marketing sectors to exhibit their musical prowess.

The organising committee has opened calls for solo performers to participate, offering them a chance to engage and inspire audiences at South Asia’s leading creative festival, Goafest.

'Advertising Rocks' will feature two solo performance categories: Indian and International. Four shortlisted entrants from each category will perform before a jury and Goafest delegates in Mumbai. Winners will be selected through a mix of jury assessments and live audience votes, adding a competitive edge to the event.

The event promises attractive prizes, with the winners of each category receiving INR 50,000 and the first runners-up INR 25,000.

Mohit Joshi, CEO of Havas Media Network India and Co-chair of Goafest 2024, expressed his anticipation, stating, “'Advertising Rocks' is poised for another thrilling run at Goafest 2024, celebrating the rich musical talent within our community. As someone passionate about music, I eagerly look forward to the outstanding performances that this year will bring.”

Subhash Kamath, former CEO of BBH and curator of ‘Advertising Rocks’ commented, “Last year, 'Advertising Rocks' was a standout feature at Goafest, and we anticipate even greater participation this time around. Our industry is brimming with musical talent that deserves the limelight, and Goafest offers the perfect venue.”

Entries for 'Advertising Rocks' are open until May 15, 2024. The competition is exclusive to solo artists from the advertising, media, and marketing fields.

Interested participants can submit their entries via the provided link.
