Haymarket SAC appoints Anurag Iyer as chief business officer
Haymarket SAC, a 20-year-old specialist media company, has hired Anurag Iyer as its chief business officer.

Iyer, who was previously with Firstpost and Brand Studio of Network 18 Digital as the head of revenue and strategy, will focus on strengthening the leadership of Haymarket across categories in which it operates.

Iyer said, "In the last two decades, brands at Haymarket have clearly claimed their leadership across verticals of automotive, consumer electronics, print and packaging and media." (Campaign is a part of the Haymarket portfolio.)

Haymarket SAC hosts some tent pole properties such as the Autocar Performance show, The Mercedes Classic Car Rally Vintage car rally and the What Hi Fi show.

The Autocar Awards and PrintWeek Awards are the Oscars of the automotive and printing industry respectively.

Iyer believes these events have limitless potential and can be scaled up to newer heights.  “Our digital brands are growing rapidly and our endeavour will be to give our audiences a wider and richer experience, which will be backed by our editorial excellence," he said.

Prior to Network 18 Digital, Iyer was handling revenue and content strategy at #fame digital, (a multi-channel network) and Bloomberg Quint.

“Anurag’s digital experience will be invaluable in spearheading our ambitious ‘digital first’ growth plans. Anurag is dynamic and creative and understands the nuances of our specialist brands. In addition, Anurag brings fresh thinking and a vision to lead our company in its next phase of growth,” said Hormazd Sorabjee, managing director, Haymarket SAC.
