I&B Ministry hikes ad rates for print media by 25 per cent
The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has announced a hike of 25 per cent over the existing rate structure for advertisements in print media. The decision was taken on 8 January and will be valid for a three-year period.

The last revision had taken place in 2013 when an increase of 19 per cent was announced over the rates of 2010.

This decision was taken based on the recommendations of the 8th Rate Structure Committee constituted by I&B Ministry. It took into account factors such as the increase in price of news print, processing charges and other factors.
