Monica Tata joins Business Broadcast Network as COO
Anil Ambani Reliance Group-owned Business Broadcast Network has appointed Monica Tata as chief operating officer.

The company had relaunched its 24-hour business news channel on 1 August, following the exit of Bloomberg News from the venture. Bloomberg TV India was rechristened BTVi, which Tata will now helm.

Her mandate will be to lead the restructuring on the business side of the news operations, informed an official statement. She was MD at HBO South Asia until July 2015, and is honorary secretary of the International Advertising Association India chapter (IAA).

Tata said, “This is an exciting opportunity for me and I am looking forward to working with BTVi and the entire team. We have recently re-branded the channel and I am sure this journey will be an incredible learning experience for all of us. Our efforts will continue on creating quality content and delivering accurate business and financial information to our viewers.”

In past assignments over 24 years, she has worked with Star India and the Sunday Mail.
