Mudra Group has launched a brand strategy and design consultancy unit, Water. It will offer solutions ranging from brand strategy, identity design and experience design and will be based in Mumbai.
Water will be headed by Ashish Mishra who is the chief strategist for the unit. It has roped in Pradeep Debnath and Utpal Barve as senior designers, Harpavan Singh as designer and Rohitash Srivastava as strategist. The unit is planning to come up with a monthly newsletter 'Culturesigns' that will identify the new trends in the brand design industry.
The consultancy has been named Water because water signifies purity, clarity of thought, rejuvenation, honesty and transparency, explained Mishra. "Water takes the shape of whatever one puts it in; like the best brands become one with the consumer. It is the biggest life giver-a role design can play for brands."
Mishra said, "There are clear revenue blocks in the category as there is a tremendous market that exists." He added that the potential clients include companies which want makeover, companies who are looking for a market identity, brands which want to break into franchising and new entrepreneurs. "The categories that will heavily use brand consultancy services include realty infrastructure, banking and financial services, IT, telecom and packaged goods."
Madhukar Kamath, MD and CEO, Mudra Group said, "Water will enable our clients to use the power of good strategy and design to build competitive advantages." He added that Water is an independent specialist unit and can take clients outside the Mudra group.
