Must watch on TV: The Ashes, India-NZ ODI series

After all the talk going on around cricketing circuits about its oldest rivalry, “The Ashes” are back. With the Test match on an even keel,  tune into STAR Cricket to watch days three and four which could determine the outcome of the Test. Coverage begins at 5:30 am.

On Sunday, a second string Indian team led by Gautam Gambhir takes on New Zealand in the first of the five ODIs. The first ODI takes place at Guwahati and the game begins it at 8:30 am, Live on NEO Cricket.

Further, the action is heating up in the Barclays Premier League. Arsenal fresh from two consecutive defeats to Braga and Tottenham, make the visit to Birmingham to play Gerard Houllier’s Aston Villa in the first game of the weekend at 18:10 hours Live on ESPN.

Manchester United meanwhile,  have the opportunity to go top for a day if they beat/draw Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford. The game begins at 20:25 hours, Live on ESPN. 

On Sunday, champions Chelsea travel to Newcastle to play Newcastle United at 19:00 hours followed by two contenders for champions league spots, Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool taking on each other at 21:30 hours. Both the games will be Live on ESPN.
