Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai is set to host Portfolio Night on May 20 this year.

For those unfamiliar with the concept of Portfolio Night, the event is an opportunity for aspiring copywriters and students from art schools to have their portfolios judged by some of the best advertising minds in the industry. The host agency, in this case, Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai will then invite creative directors of their choice (not necessarily from O&M) to judge the work on display.

Organised by I have an Idea, the event will simultaneously take place across a number of cities around the world, including Athens, Atlanta, Beirut, Brussels, Cairo, Chicago, Dubai, Dublin, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Madrid, Lison, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Philadelphia, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Taipei, Toronto, Milan, besides Mumbai.

The concept of Portfolio Nights was conceptualised way back in November 2002, and the first Portfolio Night was held in Toronto in February 2003. Tickets for this year’s Portfolio Night have been available from March 22 onwards, and can be purchased by visiting Portfolio Night’s website and clicking on your city’s page. The organisers say the ticket gaurantees each of the participants face-to-face time with at least three creative directors. The event is supported by Portfolio Night's global sponsors Adobe and Corbis.
