Nike ‘Bleed Blue’ film recognised for ‘Use of Music for Film Advertising’; ‘Happy Sparrows’ for McDonald’s for ‘Packaging Design’

Ramesh Deo Productions, Leo Burnett work take In-Book honours at D&AD 2013

Two campaigns from India have selected for In-Book honours at the D&AD Awards 2013.

Work by Ramesh Deo Production for Nike (Bleed Blue, JWT India) and Leo Burnett India for McDonalds (Happy Sparrows) are the two campaigns that will feature in the D&AD Annual 2013. The Annual will be published in September.

While the Bleed Blue film has been recognised for ‘Use of Music for Film Advertising’, Happy Sparrows has won recognition for ‘Packaging Design’.

In total there were 614 D&AD In-book honours and nominations given to work this year. There are no nominations from India. But the two In-Book honours are a better showing from last year.

On India’s showing, Tim Lindsay, chief executive, D&AD, said, “The 2012 D&AD Awards were disappointing for Indian agencies, with no work gaining In-Book recognition. However, the 2013 Awards has seen a modest return to form for Indian creative.”

The Yellow Pencils are to be awarded in June.
