Report on the Jan Lokpal Bill occupied 83.4% of the telecast duration of National News Channels

TAM Media Research, with the help of a service called News Content Track, has released the data on Top 10 Stories telecast by national news channels during week 35, i.e. from Aug 21 to Aug 25. The channels that were tracked are, Aaj Tak, CNN IBN, Headlines Today, IBN 7, India TV, NDTV 24/7, NDTV India, Star News, Times Now & Zee News. 

According to the numbers, 83.4% of the telecast duration was devoted to news related to the report on Jan Lokpal Bill. India-England Test Series(2011) occupied 2.4% of the whole pie; zodiac forecast and reports on Janmashtami celebration across India shared 1.5% and 1.2% of telecast duration respectively. 

Anti government protest in Libya garnered 0.7% of the share while religious programs and news related to India-England ODI series gathered 0.4% each. 

Lastly, report on the show Aapki Adalat, on Nirmal Baba's preaching and on Times Now's campaign 'No More Bribes', formed the last 0.9% of the telecast pie with each topic occupying 0.3% of the telecast duration.
