Samsonite partners Saevus Wildlife to launch new wildlife magazine

Saevus Wildlife, along with their anchor sponsor Samsonite has launched Saevus, a wildlife and natural history magazine.

The magazine aims at popularising the beauty and diversity of Indian nature and wildlife through visuals and stories among the citizens of India. It aims at capturing the imagination of every Indian who loves nature, wildlife and the outdoors.The magazine will be available on stands and specialty bookstores from March 2012. The editorial team comprise of Sree Nandy, editor-in-chief, Sandeep Mall, managing partner, Santanu Nandy, publisher and Dhrotiman Mukherjee, head photography.

Commenting on the launch of the magazine, Sandeep Mall, said, “Saevus is a premium wildlife magazine and it aims at offering its readers the side of wildlife and nature they have never been exposed to.  We couldn’t have thought of a better place than the Little Rann of Kutch to unveil our magazine because here is where the idea of coming out with the magazine was born.”

Santanu Nandy, added, “It is a great moment for us today. An idea that we were delving on is now an entity. I would also like to thank Samsonite who is our anchor sponsor.When the idea of Saevus germinated we approached Samsonite for association as there was direct synergy with their idea of exploring out-doors. Samsonite was excited with the idea and agreed to hand hold a start-up to see it come to fructification.”

Ms. Sree Nandy, Editor, Saevus also shared her views; “I’m truly ecstatic today and am sure that Saevus will serve as more than just a wildlife and nature magazine. It will get you closer to a life that is beyond imagination and surreal. We have on board the best of wildlife and nature photographers and editorial team whose passion is the nature and everything related to it. I am very hopeful that the response will be tremendous and our endeavor will be to offer the best in natural history”.

Commenting on the quality photography readers can expect from the magazine, Dhrotiman Mukherjee said,” Saevus will change the way people look at wildlife through stunning visuals and will be an inspiration to future generations of wildlife photographers.”

On Samsonite's association with Saevus, Subrata Dutta, managing director, Samsonite, South Asia said, ”At Samsonite we have believed in stepping out and travelling the world. When this proposal came to us we thought it to be a great platform to showcase ourselves as partners to not just travellers but the various medium that makes one travel. I am hopeful of the great response Saevus will receive and I wish the entire team great success on behalf of Samsonite.”
