SapientNitro ropes in Andy Greenaway as executive creative director, Asia Pacific

SapientNitro has announced the appointment of Andy Greenaway as executive creative director for the Asia Pacific region. Greenaway joins SapientNitro in February and will be based in Singapore. Greenaway was most recently regional creative director of Asia Pacific for Saatchi & Saatchi.

He will report to worldwide chief creative officer Gaston Legorburu and work alongside APAC business unit lead Christian Oversohl as a member of the APAC leadership team.

On Greenway’s appointment, Oversohl said, “I am thrilled and honored to welcome Andy to our leadership team. With his extensive experience in the Asian market and his unique creative voice, Andy will be instrumental in our ability to serve the growing client demand for truly integrated services. We believe there is a fundamental shift taking place in marketing. Brands are recognizing the need to start and maintain meaningful relationships with their customers, across multiple devices and channels, in an always-on world. Having senior industry leaders like Andy realize and embrace this industry shift is a powerful endorsement of our vision and strategy. “

SapientNitro cites Asia Pacific as an important market, offering tremendous growth opportunity. The regional leadership has been strengthened recognizing the significance of the market, according to the company. Singapore, India, China and Australia are the primary markets in APAC for SapientNitro, even as it looks to expand in other North Asian and South East Asian countries.

Greenway added, “Undoubtedly, the Asian market is expanding significantly and leading the way in many new technologies and consumer trends. With our investments in capabilities and talent, and our track record of client success, SapientNitro is in the right position to take advantage of the tremendous growth opportunities in the region.”

The creative team in India is led by Shubhradeep Guha, country manager.
