Simran Sablok joins Web18 as GM, marketing

Network18's digital arm Web18 has announced the appointment of Simran Sablok (pictured) as general manager, marketing. Sablok joins Web18 from Levi Strauss Signature, where she was head, marketing.

Network18's digital arm Web18 has announced the appointment of Simran Sablok (pictured) as general manager, marketing. Sablok joins Web18 from Levi Strauss Signature, where she was head, marketing.

Her new responsibilities include planning and execution of all marketing activities involving Web18 portals. Simran’s mandate is to create a strong, consumer insight driven cohesive marketing strategy for Web18's properties. She will build brand equity and salience, while synergizing and aligning all Web18 portals under a single marketing and communication platform.

Speaking about the appointment, Surya Mantha, CEO, Web18, said, "Simran has a proven track record as a brand champion on various mega brands that makes her the perfect choice to complement Web18’s strengths in Internet and technology. With Simran’s expertise in the marketing, retail and consumer space, she will be an asset in building our brand franchise amongst consumers.”

Added Sablok, "I am sure I will get ample opportunities to showcase my talent and expertise here. I am excited about the upcoming challenges and responsibilities and really look forward to growing and cementing Web18’s leadership in the internet domain among consumers, brand and media agencies.”

She has previously worked at Lintas and Yum Restaurants, where she was closely associated with Pizza Hut, KFC and Cafe Coffee Day, in the marketing division.
