VML India has been named the AoR for Wendy’s in India following a multi-agency pitch.
The burger restaurant chain launched in India on 6 May. The brand has retained its brand philosophy of being 'A Cut Above', and announced that digital would be a key component of its marketing efforts.
Jasper Reid, director, Sierra Nevada Restaurants (holding company for Wendy’s in India), said, “We chose to work with VML because we liked their fresh thinking and their sole focus on digital. Ahead of the launch of its first outlet in Gurgaon, the brand launched a series of teaser videos, featuring people in NCR who were asked if they knew the brand.
