Alchemist names new NCR head
 
Alchemist Marketing Talent Solutions has announced the elevation of Prabhu Tony as business head of its NCR office. He replaces Nandini Khera, moving from his position of chief revenue officer. His mandate is to oversee the Gurgaon office and expansion into other cities close to New Delhi.
 
BBC World Service expands in India
 
The BBC World Service has announced what it labels as its biggest expansion since the 1940's. It has launched four new Indian language services – in Telugu, Gujarati, Marathi and Punjabi. With this, it looks to create 157 new jobs, and make Delhi the BBC’s largest bureau outside the UK.
 
Gozoop gets Cordlife
 
Independent digital creative shop Gozoop has announced that it has bagged the digital and social media duties of Cordlife India, a stem-cell banking company.
 
IBD retains Grauer & Weil's creative mandate
 
IBD has retained the creative mandate of Grauer & Weil India, a player in surface finishing solutions that also owns Mumbai shopping mall Growel’s101. The agency retained the account on the basis of 'innovative strategies and eye-catching creative work' last year, according to an agency statement.
 
JITB appoints Abinandan Bose 
 
Jack in the Box Worldwide has announced the appointment of Abinandan Bose as creative director. Bose will oversee the copy, design and social media teams. He will report to the new president of Jack in the Box Worldwide, who is yet to be named. In a career spanning 12 years, Bose has worked with JWT, MRM//McCann and Adfactors PR. 
 
Percept Live's Eat Play Love
 
A two-day food and music festival property has been announced by Percept Live and The Eat India Company titled 'Eat Play Love'. It will be hosted in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune and Nagpur, after kicking off on 17 December in Mumbai. Restaurants and food vendors will cater to visitors, alongside entertainment. Among sponsors in the first edition are Maruti Suzuki and Scootsy (presenting), Gionee (powered by), Ola and Panchshil (in association with). The festival is supported by Maharashtra Tourism. Organisers intend is to take the festival to more cities.
 
ScoopWhoop ropes in Meghana Bhat 
 
Meghana Bhat has joined ScoopWhoop Media as chief strategy officer. Prior to this Bhat was national creative director and chief operating officer at Webchutney. Her mandate covers positioning the brand in the B2B space, content marketing and native advertising.
 
The PRactice bags Siemens' PR mandate
 
The PRactice has won the PR mandate for Siemens in India following a multi-agency pitch. The task is to build the positioning of the brand as a leading technology powerhouse.
 
Tonic Media bags Spherehot's digital duties  
 
Spherehot has assigned its digital mandate to Tonic Media following a multi-agency pitch. The 85-year-old brand providing water heaters, kitchen appliances and home solutions has appointed the agency to handle all its digital needs – strategy, creative, media and social media.
 
TVS Scooty Zest scales 'Himalayan Highs' again 
 
TVS Motor Company has launched a seven-part web series on YouTube as it completed its 'Himalayan Highs' season two. In this edition, a team of 11 women riders scaled the world's highest motorable pass, Khardung La, on TVS Scooty Zest 110 scooters. Webisodes released comprise stories from their journey.
