ZenithOptimedia India brings in Roopam Garg as COO

 

ZenithOptimedia India has announced the appointment of Roopam Garg as chief operating officer, India. Garg was until recently managing director, PGM across ZenithOptimedia, StarcomMediaVest and part of the central buying team at ZenithOptimedia in London. Garg will report to Satyajit Sen, chief executive officer of ZenithOptimedia India.
 
Commenting on the appointment, Sen said, “Roopam comes with enormous network experience and will provide the necessary fillip to our ongoing success in India. His success with ZOG’s premier and blue chip clients will also go a long way in leveraging our position for critical business acquisitions.”
 
Garg added, “My experience across regions has given me significant understanding on increased market share and I intend to work in tandem with Satyajit towards growing our visibility in this market place.”
 
On the appointment Philip Talbot, chief executive officer, ZenithOptimedia APAC said, “Roopam was the perfect choice for us as we are going into the third phase of development in India. Roopam’s in-depth understanding of the network and how it is evolving coupled with the close working relationship he has developed with key clients provides us with a unique leverage as we continue to grow in this rapidly growing market.”
