ZenithOptimedia India ropes in Anupriya Acharya as group CEO

Ex-Mindshare Fulcrum head moves into newly created role with focus on integration between businesses, growth

ZenithOptimedia India ropes in Anupriya Acharya as group CEO

ZenithOptimedia has brought on board Anupriya Acharya to head operations in India as group CEO.

She will be responsible for the network’s companies ZenithOptimedia (media planning and buying), Resultrix (performance marketing), Ninah (analytics) and Newcast (branded content), and report to Gerry Boyle, chairman, Asia-Pacific, ZenithOptimedia.

Anupriya joins ZenithOptimedia from Mindshare (Fulcrum) where she was leader, Team Unilever South Asia.

In her new role, Acharya’s brief is ‘to facilitate greater integration between the businesses and to drive growth across the group’, informed an official statement. She will also take lead responsibility for the on-going development of ZenithOptimedia’s ‘Live ROI’ approach in India, it said.

Gerry Boyle, Chairman, Asia-Pacific, ZenithOptimedia, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have someone of Anupriya’s calibre and reputation heading up the ZenithOptimedia Group in India. Her skills and expertise in leading media businesses will be invaluable as we seek to deliver on our ambitious growth plans in India.”

Prior to Mindshare, Acharya has worked with Aegis Media (CEO, Singapore) and The Media Edge (president, India).
