Puneet Arora joins Yellow.ai as global president

Yellow.ai has announced the appointment of Puneet Arora as global president. In this strategic role, Arora will lead the go-to-market teams across all markets, including North America, India, Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa.
 
Operating from San Francisco, Arora will spearhead business growth by leading and scaling Global GTM, overseeing the sales, marketing, partnerships, delivery, support, revenue operations, and customer success teams. In his role, he will drive transformation, foster growth momentum, establish a strong North American market presence, and boost global expansion efforts.
 
Arora brings over 25 years of experience with pivotal roles at organisations including D2L, 8x8, Oracle, Liveperson, and Salesforce. 

DBS Bank elevates Megha Manchanda 

DBS Bank has elevated Megha Manchanda to the position of senior vice president and head of marketing. She shared the news on LinkedIn. Manchanda previously served as VP marketing, having joined the fintech company in January 2020.

Prior to this, she has also served a nearly 9-year stint at J Walter Thompson, with her last held role being VP and strategic planning director, J Walter Thompson Worldwide.

Vishal Gaba moves on from Bira 91

Vishal Gaba, former associate director of marketing at Bira 91, has announced his departure from the alcoBev brand on LinkedIn after over 2 years. Gaba led marketing communications for all verticals of Bira 91 including Beer, Beyond Beer - Ciders & Seltzers, Pubs - Taprooms & The Beer Café and Merch store.His next move is not known as of now.

In his previous stints, Gaba has worked with BCW Global, Movified, The Social Booth, Genesis BCW, Adfactors PR, among others. 

Dentsu Creative India bags integrated creative mandate for Gemini Edibles & Fats India

Dentsu Creative has won the integrated creative mandate for Gemini Edibles & Fats India (GEF India). The account was won following a multi-agency pitch and will be serviced from the agency’s Chennai office.
 
As per the mandate, the agency will provide end-to-end creative solutions for GEF India, covering all aspects of branding, communication, and marketing. This includes designing packaging, creating Point-of-Sale Materials (POSM), launching TV, radio, and print campaigns, and producing event collaterals for the brand. Through this partnership, Dentsu Creative’s focus is to elevate the brand value of GEF India and its products, highlighting their quality, health benefits, and consumer trust. The agency will also aim to strengthen the brand's connection with its target audience by creating relevant and memorable brand stories and delivering them across multiple touchpoints.
 


Magnite appoints Ideosphere to lead PR in India


Ideosphere, a brand strategy and communication firm, has been selected by Magnite, a leading independent omnichannel sell-side advertising company, to manage its public relations efforts in India. This collaboration aims to strengthen Magnite's market presence and voice as it expands in India, capitalising on the country's growing programmatic advertising sector. Magnite, which provides an alternative to dominant advertising platforms with its omnichannel approach, has recently underscored its commitment to the Indian market by opening a new office in Mumbai. Ideosphere will leverage its strategic insights to position Magnite effectively in the Indian market, focusing on educating and changing behavior among industry stakeholders to foster brand advocacy.

Cheil’s Experience Commerce bags creative and social media mandate for The Sleep Company

 

Experience Commerce (EC), a digital agency within the Cheil Network, has announced that it has won the creative and social media mandate for The Sleep Company. The account was won after a multi-agency pitch and will be handled by Experience Commerce’s Mumbai Office.

 

The agency will spearhead digital marketing initiatives, prioritising enhanced brand visibility. Experience Commerce is tasked with amplifying the brand's digital presence through strategic creative approaches encompassing diverse content formats, from reels and interactive videos to user-generated campaigns and moment marketing strategies across key social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.

 

Zee Media Corporation appoints Pankaj Rai as business head – WION & Zee Business

 

Zee Media Corporation has announced the appointment of Pankaj Rai as business head - WION and Zee Business. Rai has over 15 years of experience spanning the realms of broadcast and digital media. Throughout his career, he has overseen revenue portfolios in both sectors. Before joining Zee Media, he served as the national head for The Q. Prior to that, he held a significant role at Zee Entertainment for more than a decade, managing revenue portfolios for ZEEL's flagship channels such as Zee TV, Zee Cinema, and Zee Bollywood in the North and East regions. 

 

IAMAI appoints Vikas D Nahar, founder and CEO, Happilo, and Swagat Sarangi, co-founder, Smytten as chair and co-chair

 

The Digitally Native Brands (DNB) committee of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has announced the appointment of Vikas D Nahar, founder and CEO, Happilo, as chair, and Swagat Sarangi, co-founder, Smytten, as the new co-chair, following their election to the posts. The IAMAI Digitally Native Brands Committee actively contributes towards the progress and growth of the digital consumer brands sector through policy engagements with governmental departments, regulatory bodies, opinion leaders and industry captains. The committee engages in key sectoral issues about logistics and supply chain, marketing and advertisement and regulations hampering industry efficiency. Additionally, the committee showcases industry efforts and concerns through knowledge papers, research reports, conferences and policy advocacy, and provides a platform for all its members to build business opportunities.

 

BBH India appoints Nisheeth Srivastava as executive creative director

 

BBH India has announced the appointment of Nisheeth Srivastava a executive creative director (ECD). Based out of Delhi, Srivastava's mandate involves working across brands handled by both offices of the agency and reporting directly to Parikshit Bhattaccharya, chief creative officer, BBH India. Prior to resuming his advertising journey in 2018 at Lowe, Srivastava has also worked as a brand creative lead at OLX. In 3.5 years of his stint at OLX, he garnered hands-on digital first experience and teamed with various partners to make OLX as one of the most well integrated brands. The social experiment done to demonstrate hoarding culture in India was one of the highlights of that stint. With 15 years of experience across industries such as advertising, radio and internet, Srivastava can look at business and its communication with more than just one lens. In advertising, he started his career with Mudra Ahmedabad as an account planner and moved to Lowe Lintas as a copywriter. He has worked on a diverse set of brands like Moov, Krack, Google pay, Dulux Paints, OLX, Philips to name a few.

 

Pepperfry appoints Mahip Dwivedi as vice president and head of marketing

 

Pepperfry has announced the appointment of Mahip Dwivedi as vice president of marketing. In his role as the head of marketing, Dwivedi, who assumed office on 20 December 2023, will spearhead the organisation’s marketing strategy, brand communication, performance marketing, retention, and public relations functions. Prior to joining the ecommerce furniture company, he served as the chief marketing officer at Tyke Investment and the head of performance marketing and SEO Growth at Flipkart.
