BCCI hires Sportradar to check for 'betting irregularities' during the IPL

Tournament kicks off on 19 September

The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has entered an agreement with Sportradar to monitor 'betting irregularities' during the tournament.
 
The provider of sports data, sports entertainment products and services will work with the BCCI's Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) in monitoring and safeguarding the integrity of matches during the Indian Premier League this season. 
 
Andreas Krannich, MD - integrity services, Sportradar, said, “It is an honour to partner with the BCCI for the 2020 IPL season. As the global leader in sporting integrity, we hope to provide our expertise and help protect the tournament against integrity related issues. The IPL starts on 19 September in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
