Breaking news: Karl Gomes quits Rediffusion Y&R

Karl Gomes, national creative director - digital, Rediffusion Y&R, has quit the agency.

Gomes moves on after spending one year in the agency.

Speaking to Campaign India, Gomes said, "When Rediffusion Y&R appointed a creative head for digital last year, it was a bold step taken at introducing integration in creative thinking. The purpose was to bring in the digital culture that could be embedded into mainline creativity. It was a big responsibility and I've enjoyed working here."

Gomes said he is yet to decide on his next move. "I'm currently taking a break. I plan to remain in the digital space, but I'm figuring out whether I'd want to start out on my own or join another agency," he said.

Prior to Rediffusion Y&R, Gomes was with Leo Burnett's Arc Worldwide as executive creative director - digital. Before that, he was at Tribal DDB India where he started out as the design head for digital branding solutions and went on to become the agency's national creative director.
