HPCL stays with Leo Burnett, ropes in RK Swamy BBDO
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has empanelled Leo Burnett and RK Swamy BBDO following a multi-agency pitch.

Senior RK Swamy BBDO executives confirmed the agency’s empanelment to Campaign India.

In a separate communication, Leo Burnett announced that it has bagged the creative mandate following a pitch.

The agency has been on the account since 2008, when HPCL empanelled Leo Burnett, Mudra and JWT (link below).

Rakesh Hinduja, EVP, Leo Burnett India, said, “I’m delighted that the strategic roadmap we presented during the pitch process was spot on and in complete sync with the client’s vision. This is an exciting phase both for the brand and for us, where the objective is to adopt a fresh communication approach and create a new language which consumers across the country could relate to in a much better way. I’m optimistic that with our multi-disciplinary team working seamlessly on the account, we will surpass the client’s expectations and help the brand attain greater heights of success.”

An e-mail to HPCL executives remained unanswered at the time of filing this report.
