OOH Media beefs up senior management

OOH Media has appointed Shamik Talukder as business director. Talukder will be joining the management committee of the company and will be reporting to Ishan Raina, CEO, OOH Media. Speaking about the appointment, Niloufer Dundh, chief sales officer, OOH Media says, “It is great to have Shamik on board with us. We are at a point of inflection at OOH Media and Shamik with his experience will surely help us grow to the next level.”

OOH Media has appointed Shamik Talukder as business director. Talukder will be joining the management committee of the company and will be reporting to Ishan Raina, CEO, OOH Media.

Speaking about the appointment, Niloufer Dundh, chief sales officer, OOH Media says, “It is great to have Shamik on board with us. We are at a point of inflection at OOH Media and Shamik with his experience will surely help us grow to the next level.”

Talukder joins from Essel Group, where he was vice president, Internet. His responsibilities for OOH Media include overseeing the drive and development of key categories nationally.

Added Talukder, "The company and the industry is poised for significant growth and needs to be taken to the next level. The leap to the next level will be challenging but exciting. One of the areas which will be key is to get the brands to experience a better return on investment through this media. There will be several breakthrough initiatives which will make the digital screen media a compelling component for advertisers in their media mix."

Talukder's experience in the media industry spans over 13 years. He has worked in companies such as STAR TV, Radio Mirchi, Indya.com and Times OOH among many others.

Recently, OOH Media has also hired Raju Sarin as director. Like Talukder, Sarin too will be joining the management committee and report to Ishan Raina.

Commenting about Sarin's appointment, Raina says, "“For a while now, we have been looking for a senior industry leader based in North India to help us leverage our potential and create new opportunities for us. I am personally very excited that someone with such an experience and caliber has teamed up with us to take the company to the next level.”

Added Sarin, "I strongly believe that this is the medium of today and I can see exciting growth opportunities in this medium. The medium is in the phase of moving to the next level and I look forward to be a part of this great opportunity.”

Previously, Sarin was working with the Sakal Media Group as COO for new projects. He has also worked with companies such as The Times of India, Business Today, Mail Today and Men's Health amongst others. He has about 20 years of experience in the media industry.
