Radio stations in Bangalore synchronise for Kingfisher

As part of an initiative by Kingfisher, seven radio stations in Bangalore synchronised and played the same content for a three-minute duration on Thursday, July 8, during peak hours in the morning and evening. The activity will repeat today as well.

Samar Singh Sheikhawat, senior vice president of marketing, United Breweries Limited, said, “Kingfisher has always been associated with fun, fashion and sports, and in sports we have some very strong associations for over a decade now. This radio marketing initiative is all about creative humour and bringing football lovers together at the same time.”

The football-related topics touched upon by the RJs of Radio City, Radio Indigo, Big FM, Red FM, Radio One, Radio Mirchi and Fever FM include the much-discussed vuvuzela and whether its sounds are annoying or pleasant, which is the best World Cup team, how wacky would you dress to show your support for your favourite football team and so on.
