Rajshri Media creates show for web, mobile

Rajshri Media has launched a show exclusively for the web and mobile titled Akbar Birbal Remixed. Ninety video and audio webisodes and mobisodes, of three minutes each, will be available on www.rajshri.com and IDEA Cellular (in India) respectively. Webisodes of Akbar Birbal Remixed can be streamed free (ad-supported) on www.rajshri.com and on www.youtube.com/rajshri. Communities around the show will be built on social networking sites.

Rajshri Media has launched a show exclusively for the web and mobile titled Akbar Birbal Remixed. Ninety video and audio webisodes and mobisodes, of three minutes each, will be available on www.rajshri.com and IDEA Cellular (in India) respectively. 

Webisodes of Akbar Birbal Remixed can be streamed free (ad-supported) on www.rajshri.com and on www.youtube.com/rajshri. Communities around the show will be built on social networking sites. 

Mobisodes of Akbar Birbal Remixed in SMS, MMS, video and audio formats will be available for three months on the mobile for IDEA subscribers. The mobisodes will be available on IdeaFresh WAP GPRS services and on the voice portal as voice medium-friendly audiosodes. SMS and MMS subscription packs will be created subsequently.

The show will later be made available to subscribers across all other telecom carriers. Rajjat A. Barjatya, managing director, Rajshri Media, said, "Our first show, Akbar Birbal Remixed, has a distinct Bollywood style narrative and we hope to recreate the magic of celluloid on new media platforms through these endearing stories of wit and wisdom, set in a modern, Mumbai underworld milieu. We are confident that the show and its characters will delight audiences across the world, who can now snack on our 3 minute video and audio episodes on-the-go 24/7 on mobile phones and on the Web."
