Rediffusion Y&R has appointed Ramswaroop Gopalan as business head for their digital arm. Gopalan (pictured) will partner Karl Gomes, who is national creative director of the digital unit, in strengthening their service offering. He will be based out of Delhi.
Commenting on the appointment, Wasim Basir, executive vice president, Rediffusion Y&R, said, "Ram brings with him a unique blend of Brand + Tech, something that is not only extremely rare but also a great asset to our team as we try and build brand seamlessly across real world and digital platforms. Gopalan commented on his appointment, "I am fascinated by Rediffusion's vision of creating a sea change in the way advertising and communication is looked at. Digital will be a key player in that vision and I am happy that my experience and background will contribute to their vision."
Gopalan has more than 14 years of experience in various industries such as media and entertainment, advertising, internet and Information Technology. He also been associated with brand management and technology, having worked on various aspects of digital media and developed strategies in global sourcing for the media and entertainment sector. He also has experience in digital media, advertising and brand consulting among others.
Earlier, Gopalan was with Tangerine Digital Entertainment, where he was head of Delivery and part of the leadership team.
