Shubho Sengupta, former national creative director, Interactive Avenues has joined Rediffusion Y&R as creative head, digital.
Sengupta has experience in both traditional and digital media setups, having previously worked in agencies such as Contract, JWT, Leo Burnett and Ogilvy.
In 2007, he moved to Interactive Avenues as national creative director.
Commenting on his appointment, Sengupta said, "Rediffusion Y&R is increasingly moving towards multiple touchpoints with a digital core, so I'm not sure if it's still a mainline agency. In any case, the consumer doesn't care whether I'm in a digital, quasi-digital, mainline or offline agency."
He further added, "I like the way Rediffusion Y&R sees integrated communication. Also, there's opportunity to work with some fine minds on some fine brands."
Sengupta would be working on brands such as Airtel, LG and Danone.
