Renowned female career development platform makes Asia debut.

Spikes Asia launches 'See It Be It' programme

Spikes Asia has announced the launch of the 'See It Be It' programme for this year’s creativity festival.

First launched at Spikes Asia’s sister festival, Cannes Lions, in 2014, See It Be It is an initiative designed to help the next generation of women in creative positions develop and achieve their full potential, against the headwind of diversity challenges.

Throughout the three days of Spikes Asia this year, SIBI will provide exclusive content, executive training, mentoring, networking opportunities and a complimentary pass to Spikes Asia festival for 10 selected female future leaders. The programme is open to women from across the advertising, marketing and communications industries.

Leading the programme as Spikes Asia’s first SIBI ambassador is Valerie Madon, Havas Group’s Singapore chairwoman and Southeast Asia chief creative officer. She said the opportunity “goes beyond fulfilling an occupational responsibility. It feels like a timely calling for me to give back to our industry in a meaningful manner, given all the fortunate experiences I’ve been blessed with.”

Joining Madon are Lizi Hamer, regional creative director at Octagon, who leads SheSays Singapore, and Knox Balbastro, regional associate creative director at Digitas. Both Hamer and Balbastro are SIBI graduates from Cannes Lions 2016.

Spikes Asia SIBI is being delivered in partnership with Salesforce, and Wendy Walker, APAC senior marketing director, said: “We are proud supporters of the See It Be It programme and delighted to see it launch in Asia. Developing future women leaders to reach their full potential, empowering women and strengthening the diversity of leaders are beliefs strongly aligned with us at Salesforce.”

Spikes Asia See It Be It is now open for applications. For further information and details on how to apply, please click here. The application deadline is 16 August with participants being announced in early September.
