ASCI upholds 232 complaints
 
In October and November 2018, ASCI investigated complaints against 389 advertisements. Of these 389, 112 advertisers ensured corrective action. Among the remaining, ASCI’s Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) upheld complaints against 232 advertisements from a total of 277 advertisements evaluated by them. Ninety-five belonged to the education sector, 53 to healthcare, 36 to the food and beverages, 23 to personal care, and 20 were from the ‘others’ category. 
 
Varun Dhawan joins #TheFrootiLife 
 
Varun Dhawan has been added as brand ambassador for Frooti. Dhawan will join Alia Bhatt in five films that will be revealed shortly. 
 
Tata associates with IPL again
 
Tata Motors has announced the second year of association with the IPL. This year, the association will see its SUV Harrier present in the stadium across all the matches. The batsman with the highest strike-rate of the tournament, stands a chance to drive home the Tata Harrier.
 
Van Heusen gets Jacqueline Fernandez as brand ambassador for handbags
 
Adiya Birla Fashion and Retail has announced the appointment of Jacqueline Fernandez as the face of its women’s handbags segment. Fernandez will feature in a video commercial for the VH Bag debuting in shortly.
