Jabong.com’s in-house team has released a new TVC titled ‘Robbery’. The film went on air on 6 September 2013.
The film features a hold up at a bank. Two women lying face down on the floor, held hostage by armed and masked robbers, are engaged in conversation. When complemented on her shoes, one of them says she got it from Jabong.com, and mentions the thousands of brands available on the site and its ‘super fast’ delivery. The other women lying on the floor nod their heads, acknowledging that they buy from the site too. She adds that Tanya’s dress is also from Jabong – Tanya being another hostage strapped to a chair with her mouth taped. One of the robbers walks across and asks them to ‘Shut up’. A bullet is fired in the air as another robber grabs the money. Amidst all this, a delivery boy from Jabong.com enters. The excited women start screaming and rush towards him. Scared, he leaves the parcels in the hands of the robbers and scoots. The robbers are shown screaming, as the women rush towards them. The film ends with a voice over mentioning the number of products and brands on offer on the site.
Manu Kumar Jain, co-founder, Jabong.com, said, “We wanted to take our association with our target audience one step further and reinstate the fact that we are the most premium one-stop fashion destination today. This commercial manifestly brings out the enthusiasm and passion that with just one click, shoppers have access to more than 1,000 brands on our portal, that too from the latest trends and styles. As a conscious and continuous endeavour, our new campaign focuses on shopaholics in true sense.”
The TVC will air on channels in the genres of English movies, Hindi movies, lifestyle and infotainment, music and Hindi general entertainment, besides HD channels.
