Viacom18 Sports gets Ranveer Singh to dribble with excitement this NBA season

Watch the film conceptualised by the brand’s in-house team here

Viacom18 Sports has rolled out a campaign titled ‘Morning Time Is Baller Time’ for the 2022-23 NBA season. Conceptualised by the network’s in-house team, the film features actor Ranveer Singh’s love for the NBA and celebrates its return, live on Sports18.

The film opens with Singh calling it a night with a rooster following him to bed. When morning comes, the rooter is seen crowing, while sitting on a basket. Singh excitedly wakes up, wears his NBA gear and starts dribbling the basketball around the house, with the rooster following him around. He then opens the JioCinema app on his phone and starts cheering for his favourite basketball team. He ends the film by stating ‘Morning Time Is Baller Time’.

Siddharth Sharma, head of content, Viacom18 Sports, said, “Morning Time Is Baller Time reinforces our proposition that mornings are best enjoyed watching the incredible action from the NBA on Sports 18-1 and JioCinema, and who better than the effervescent resident NBA fan Ranveer Singh to reiterate this and celebrate the start of what promises to be a yet another exciting season. We are focused on expanding and elevating our NBA offerings this season and taking it to a broader audience.”

Sunny Malik, business head - global content and media distribution, NBA India, said, “Viacom18 Sports provides NBA fans in India with unparalleled access to follow and watch their favourite teams and players in Hindi and English. We look forward to continuing our collaboration as we engage both new and existing fans throughout the country and bring them closer to the game by offering a wide range of NBA programming to sports, lifestyle and youth audiences.”

The film is being rolled out on Viacom18 Sports’ digital and social media platforms.
