Revised: Goafest 2013: McCann wins Print Grand Prix, 7 Golds, 56 Abbys; Leo Burnett bags 7 Golds, 67 metals; JWT takes home 5 Golds, 48 trophies

Grey’s ‘Water Saver’ for Killer Jeans bags Integrated Grand Prix; Interface Business Solutions’ Digital Grand Prix was one of three this year

Revised: Goafest 2013: McCann wins Print Grand Prix, 7 Golds, 56 Abbys; Leo Burnett bags 7 Golds, 67 metals; JWT takes home 5 Golds, 48 trophies

Following the results of the Digital, Design and Direct categories of the Creative Abby competition announced on 5 April, winners in the remaining categories were announced on the night of 6 April as the curtains came down on AAAI and The Advertising Club’s Goafest 2013.

Subsequent to which, on 9 April, the Awards Governing Council withdrew two Gold and two Silver Abbys awarded in the Radio and Radio Craft categories to Leo Burnett India, following the agency's withdrawal of those entries for work on client brand Tata Salt Lite. Production house Lingo India was also stripped of its Gold in the Radio Craft category for the same piece of work.

On 11 April, the Goafest 2013 Abby Awards Governing Council  decided to withdraw  two Gold and one Silver Abby won by BBDO Proximity for work on client DHL, following a vote on alleged plagiarism. The awards have since been reinstated following a 'super jury' meet on 24 April.

The revised winner tally is as follows.

McCann Worldgroup picked up a Print Grand Prix, with 7 Golds among its 56 Abbys, while Leo Burnett bagged 7 Golds of a total of 67 metals. In terms of total number of metals and number of Gold Abbys won, JWT India followed with 5 Golds among its 48 trophies.

Three Grand Prix winners emerged at this year’s Creative Abby competition.

McCann Worldgroup won the Print Grand Prix for its series Villa, Bank and Highrise, for client Active Total Security Systems.

Grey Worldwide won the Integrated Grand Prix for its Water Saver entry on the Killer Jeans brand.

It was announced a day prior that Interface Business Solutions had won the Digital Grand Prix for CRM-powered Personalised Web Banner, for client Tata Docomo.

McCann WorldGroup’s 7 Gold Abbys were in the categories of Design (Young Presidents Organization, two for Dish TV), Direct (Big CBS Spark), Print Craft (Videocon), Film (Chlormint) and Integrated (Stayfree Women for change).

Leo Burnett’s 7 Golds were for work in the Design category (for Coke Studio), Radio Craft (Sony Entertainment Television), Radio (Sony Entertainment Television), Outdoor (Indian Red Cross Society), Film (Sony Entertainment Television), Print Craft (Heinz Tomoto Ketchup) and Integrated (Sony Entertainment Television).

JWT India won Golds in the categories of Film (Helix), Radio (Gripone Tubeless Tyre), Integrated (Birla Sunlife Insurance), Branded Content (Birla Sun Life Insurance) and Ambient (Khaitan).

XOX Design won 3 Golds in the Design category announced earlier, for work on Papers by Kyoorius.

Contract Advertising India’s film for Morphy Richards Juicers win a Gold each for the agency in the Film and Film Craft categories.

Hungama Digital Services won a Gold each for work on Mahindra Quanto Mahindra XUV500, in the Digital category.

BBDO Proximity won a Gold each in the Print and OOH categories for work on DHL.

The other Gold winners were Bang Bang Films (for client IPL in the Film Craft category), BC WebWise (for Sunsilk in Digital), Code Red Films (for Morphy Richards Juicers in Film Craft), DDB Mudra (for NID in Print), Dentsu India (for Skechers in Print), Footcandles Film (for VAT69 in Film Craft), Ideas@work Advertising (for Big Rock in Film), Jamic Films (for Idea in Film Craft), Publicis Communications (for Park Avenue Beer Shampoo in Direct),  Ramesh Deo Production (for Nike in Film Craft), Scarecrow Communications (for Danone B’lue in Branded Content), Taproot India (For The Times of India in Integrated), and Thmbstrk (for Axis Bank in Digital).
