Android, BlackBerry and iOs Apps for the weekend

Those who were wondering the app which was used in the new Samsung Galaxy Y and Wave Y commercial, here is it - Talking Tom Cat 2. The app is known for the cat which repeats everything you say in a funny voice as well as get a lot of reactions for various touch-based actions.

For BlackBerry users: A Thank You Gift

As part of their year-end celebrations, BlackBerry appstore has launched a pack of select premium apps for free download tii 31 December. The apps in the pack include DriveSafe.ly Pro, Bubble Bash 2, Bejeweled, Shazam Encore, Vlingo, The Sims 3, SimCity Deluxe, Photo Editor Ultimate, Nobex Radio Premium, Texas Hold’em Poker 2 and iSpeech Translator Pro, among others.

For iOs users: The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore

Moonbot Studios, the makers of The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore could have simply done an ebook version of the animated short. But they decided to go the extra mile to get the visuals, music, and storyline to reach out to a larger audience and make it one of the perfect children’s story books for the digital age. Each scene in the story features a reader-driven activity to involve you into the story. Tap the screen in one scene, and the seasons change. In another, you can piece together pieces of a torn up page. None of this interactivity feels tacked on—it’s perfectly incorporated into a story that’s a love letter to the power of books. And the app itself is a powerful example of what books can be in the age of the iPad.
