Sakal Media has announced the appointment of Gaurish Pathare as its head of advertising for their print business. He will be in charge of national and local markets and will report to LS Krishnan, business head for print, Sakal Media. Prior to this, Pathare was with Midday Infomedia as national head of sales for print and digital businesses. 

On the new development,LS Krishnan, said, "We are delighted to have him in our team. I am sure he will use his varied experience and skill to achieve many milestones for us. He will lead our sales team in national and local market and be responsible for revenue growth for all the print titles.”

On his new assignment, Pathare, added, "I am excited to be a part of Sakal Media Group. Their brands set a high editorial standard and respected by the readers. I am looking forward to leverage that equity to deliver value to the advertisers and agencies and build a long term relationship with them.”

Pathare has spent over 16 years in media space. Previously, he has spent eight years working with Mindshare Fulcrum where he worked on Hindustan Unilever brands. Later, he moved to handle Group M’s clients Onida, ICICI, Vodafone, HSBC, etc. He has also worked in BCCL’s Magazine division, where he handled brands like Femina and Filmfare. He also had a stint with Reliance ADAG’s media team where he was one of the core members.
