Grohe ropes in Shubhajit Sen as its country general manager

Grohe, the maker of premier sanitary fittings has announced the appointment of Shubhajit Sen as the country general manager of its parent company Lixil Water Technology for India and the Indian sub-continent.

Sen will be responsible for implementing several innovative and effective marketing strategies to drive greater growth and firmly establish the brand’s segment leadership in the country. Based out of the company’s Gurgaon office, he will report to Bijoy Mohan, CEO of Lixil Water Technology and Lixil Housing Technology Asia. 

A marketing veteran with more than two decades of experience, Sen has served across continents in categories such as electronics, consumer durables and FMCG sectors.

Prior to this, he was with Micromax Informatics, where he was the CMO and successfully created an online portfolio strategy and built an independent, sustainable stream of revenue for the company. Prior to Micromax, Sen worked with GlaxoSmithKline.

Sen said, “We need innovative plans, disruptive business models and constantly search for relentless execution of new ideas. I am thoroughly confident that we will become the most sought-after and admired business in the sanitary ware space."

In his two decades at GSK India in various roles, Sen had multiple strategic initiatives under his belt, rising up the ladder to become the VP and global business leader- emerging consumers. During his tenure, Horlicks, the nourishing beverage became one of GSK’s fastest growing brand franchises and delivered the fastest geographic expansion across nine countries within one year.
