Manish Bhatt moves on from Contract

Manish Bhatt, senior vice president and executive creative director, Contract Advertising has put in his papers at the agency. Bhatt is moving on to pursue some projects for the Gujarat government.

Confirming the move to Campaign India, Bhatt said, "Yes, I am moving on. I was involved with the Gujarat government during a campaign for Tata Indicom, where the client had wanted to create a regional campaign for Gujarat, which would resonate with that market. The project, which involved a large number of celebrities from Gujarat, had a CSR touch to it. It was a success and now, I am looking at similar projects in the meantime, for the government."

Bhatt says he is not quitting advertising. "I have had a number of offers within advertising and I will be evaluating those, as well. Having worked in advertising for the last 14 years, I am not looking at leaving a profession that I love so much."

Previous to his time at Contract, Bhatt was at McCann Erickson. He has also worked in O&M (Delhi, Mumbai and Malaysia), and Ambience Publicis. Bhatt has received recognition for his creative work across platforms like Cannes Lions, D&AD London, The One Show, Clios and the Abbys.
