Navia Asia promotes Gourav Tandon as COO - India

Out-of-home company Navia Asia has promoted Gourav Tandon (pictured) to the post of chief operating officer - India. Till recently, Tandon was national director, Navia Asia and was in charge of business development. In his new role, Tandon will have full operational responsibility for four full service offices across the country and will be supported by Vikas Nowal, head, India-West, Ravi Kant head, India-North and Avinash Swamy head, India-South. Tandon will continue to be based in New Delhi and report to Sanjay Shah CEO-India, Navia Asia.

In his new role, Tandon will have full operational responsibility for four full service offices across the country and will be supported by Vikas Nowal, head, India-West, Ravi Kant head, India-North and Avinash Swamy head, India-South. Said Shah, CEO-India, Navia Asia, “Gourav has proved his mettle in a very short time with us and has emerged as a natural choice for this role, as we strengthen our operational leadership and get ready for even faster growth. He has stabilized our North India operations over the last year and has built a robust and committed team. As he takes on the new role, we will work towards introducing new systems, processes, planning frameworks and creative capabilities to our OOH offering.”

Added Tandon on his appointment, “I’m delighted by the faith the management has reposed in me. I know it will not be easy to build upon the enviable track record of the company but I feel that with Sanjay Shah’s guidance and a strong team to support me, it will be possible to lead Navia to a formidable position in the industry."
 
He has over 12 years of experience in the OOH industry. He began his areer with GMS Technologies and then worked with agencies such as MOMS, Aaren Initiative and Ogilvy. Prior to joining Navia he was with Clear Channel where he was handling the Assets and AOR divisions for North. He has worked on brands like LG, Emaar MGF, Voltas, Michelin Tyres, Yamaha, Sony Ericsson and Panasonic among others.
