Pushkar Sane bids adieu to Starcom MediaVest Group

Hong Kong-based Pushkar Sane, chief digital officer, North and South Asia, and global head of social marketing practice at the Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG), has put in his papers. His next destination is still unknown.

Confirming the development, Sane, said, “I have enjoyed my last five and a half years at SMG but there are always new things to learn & explore. I'm grateful to Starcom MediaVest Group for giving me the opportunity and freedom to shape digital in Asia. These are exciting times for digital and I'm certainly looking at leveraging that excitement. I'm standing at a crossroad of diverse digital opportunities with each one of them leading to exciting destinations. I'm looking forward to an amazing journey.”

Sane has over 13 years experience across Advertising, Strategy, Digital, Media, Data, Analytics, CRM, and Technology. He joined SMG in August 2005 as its director of IP North Asia, and was promoted to general manager, Asia for Starcom IP in March 2007, before his current appointment in November 2008.

During his tenure there, he has worked across key clients like General Motors, General Electric, Mead Johnson, Richemont, P&G and Samsung, among others. Sane also served on the Global Digital Management Group since 2008 and also on Global Product Committee in 2008. He has previously worked at Euro RSCG, FCB Worldwide and FCB-Ulka (Mumbai).
