UM selects client managing partner for Asia

Starcom MediaVest's Mark Bowling is to move to UM to take on the role of client managing partner for Asia.

UM selects client managing partner for Asia

Based in Singapore, Bowling will be responsible for quality of product and relationships with clients globally. He will report to Kristi Argyilan, chief transformation officer, UM Global.

He joins UM from Starcom MediaVest Group, where he has spent the past five years leading the global communications strategy for Samsung Electronics across more than 90 markets, in the role of global director, human experience strategy SVP.

He has more than 17 years of business planning, advertising and marketing experience, which has seen him work in Asia, Europe and North America.

Bowling said he will draw on this international experience in his new role, because the industry increasingly demands a global perspective to influence local communications.

Argyilan added, “Mark has proven experience in building effective relationships throughout his very impressive career and we look forward to him working with our global clients across Asia Pacific. In the position he will be leveraging thought leadership and innovative points of view to strengthen those relationships and develop further business opportunities for UM in the region.”
