Enough has been said about 2020. Campaign India is closing out the year by asking industry leaders about what this different year taught them and what do they want from the year that comes up.

Here's what Rituparna Dasgupta, vice president strategy and analytics, Mindshare, had to say:

One learning from the magical year 2020?
The black swan event of 2020 brought with itself disruption and learning at the same time. While it took us off guard, it also gave us the opportunity to spread our wings. My learning from 2020 - find comfort in being uncomfortable. Grab the challenge presented to you even if it scares you; you have to leave your comfort zone to grow as an individual and also as a team or even a company.

One thing you want from the year 2021?
I believe that the new normal which is born is here to stay even in 2021 to some extent. While we have tried our best to bridge some gaps through technology like e-learning, e-birthday parties, teams calls; I believe nothing can compensate for a hug, a play date, an interesting lecture, a brain storming session at the boardroom. One thing I want from the year 2021 is more confidence and lesser inhibition for doing the things we love to do as social beings.
