22feet Tribal Worldwide announce senior leadership changes

Axon Alex has joined to lead strategic planning for 22feet Tribal Worldwide, while Shikha Davessar has been promoted to executive vice president and head of Client Business. Alex and Davessar will report to Vanaja Pillai, president of 22feet Tribal Worldwide.

With over 16 years of experience Alex was most recently the managing partner for Jack in the Box Worldwide, based out of Mumbai. He has also held roles with BBH India, and Tribal DDB. He is also a graduate of MICA.

Davessar has been with DBB Mudra Group for over nine years, with over 15 years of experience across organisations including Leo Burnett, McCann Erickson and LG. She was most recently the senior vice president and head for Client Business for 22feet Tribal Worldwide prior to her promotion.

McCann India wins BJP account

McCann Worldgroup India, headed by Prasoon Joshi, has successfully secured the advertising account for the BJP's 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign—marking a significant shift in the party's advertising strategy. Details on other participating agencies in the election campaign remain unconfirmed, though incumbents Ogilvy and others including Scarecrow M&C Saatchi were rumoured to be considered. More as the story develops.

Apple appoints Mehak Chawla as corporate communications head

Mehak Chawla has recently taken up the role of leading corporate communications for Apple in India. Previously, she spent over three years managing communications for Google Cloud. With a rich career spanning sixteen years, including a tenure at Infosys, Chawla's early professional background is rooted in journalism, with her work featured in The Indian Express and Economic Times.

Havas Media Network ropes in Shaktipriyo Sikdar 

Shaktipriyo Sikdar has joined Havas Media Network as head of digital services, South India—sharing his latest role in a posted via LinkedIn. He was previously the head of digital marketing at Emami. Prior to his most recent appointment, Sikdar was at Mindshare as a partner for digital and led the Disney Star cluster. In a career spanning over a decade, Sikdar has worked with agencies including Essence and brands such as Reliance Retail, Housing.com and Lodha Group. He is an alumnus of the London School Of Business and Finance. 

Cheil’s Experience Commerce bags creative and social media mandate for The Sleep Company

Experience Commerce, a digital agency within Cheil Network, has secured the creative and social media mandate for The Sleep Company. The account was won after an intense multi-agency pitch and will be handled by Experience Commerce’s Mumbai Office. 

This collaboration marks a pivotal stride towards enhancing The Sleep Company's digital footprint and brand resonance across various social media platforms. The agency is tasked with amplifying the brand's digital presence through strategic creative approaches encompassing diverse content formats across key social media platforms.
