FCB Ulka appoints Ajay Ravindran as national planning director

FCB Ulka, part of FCB Group India, has appointed Ajay Ravindran as its national planning director.

Ravindran's experience spans across brand strategy, advertising, social media, content, media planning, and market research. He specialises in new-age planning, bringing together storytelling, social media culture, and technology. In his previous role as head of brand marketing for Razorpay, he executed innovative strategies rolling out campaigns that integrated technology, creativity, and storytelling.

During his career, Ravindran has worked on brands including Unilever, Britannia, Colgate, Vodafone-Idea, Dell, Titan, TVS, 3M, and many others. A multi-time EFFIE award winner, he has led planning teams in agencies like Ogilvy, VML, MullenLowe Lintas Group, and Grey.

PRtainment bags PR mandate for Crown Rice 

PRtainment Media and Communications has been appointed as the official PR partner for DRRK Foods’ flagship brand, Crown Rice. The partnership aims to strengthen Crown Rice’s market presence across India by showcasing its basmati rice. PRtainment will implement an integrated PR strategy, promoting the brand through traditional and digital platforms.

This collaboration marks a strategic step for Crown Rice, as PRtainment plans to elevate the brand's visibility and engage a larger audience. With a focus on health-conscious consumers, the partnership is aimed at boosting Crown Rice’s standing in the premium rice segment.

Vi-John partners with Dentsu X

Vi-John Healthcare India has hired Dentsu X to manage its integrated media for the shaving category. The agency, based in Gurugram, will utilise creativity and technology to enhance the brand's market positioning.

Dentsu X plans to implement dynamic media strategies across multiple channels, including TV, print, and digital, aiming to create immersive brand experiences. This partnership is expected to drive growth and elevate Vi-John's presence in the personal care market.

Abheet Singh Bagga to head brand and marketing at Mirah Hospitality
 
Mirah Hospitality has appointed Abheet Singh Bagga as Head of brand and marketing at Mirah Hospitality. He will be overseeing the strategy for its restaurant chains, including Bayroute and Hitchki, across India and Dubai. With a background in the food and beverage sector, Bagga's experience encompasses brand strategy, marketing, and operations. His role is expected to be pivotal as Mirah Hospitality seeks to expand its presence in the dining space. Previously, Bagga held leadership positions at DEFY Vodka and Greater Than Gin.
 
Women of Music expands to Delhi

Women of Music India (WoMI) has expanded into Delhi, providing a no-fee membership for women in the Indian music industry. Since its inception, WoMI has gained industry support and achieved milestones including the launch of Breakfast Clubs with Universal Music India and Sony Music India. The organisation has introduced WoMI Night events and created a WhatsApp community for networking. It has rolled out three full-tuition scholarships for women pursuing music production and sound engineering, addressing the gender gap in these fields. The Delhi chapter aims to foster inclusivity and enhance opportunities for women in the music workforce.
