Clear Channel out of Mudra JV; OOH agency renamed Ignite Mudra
Gour Gupta, CEO of Clear Channel Mudra, has acquired Clear Channel India’s stake in the joint venture formed in 2009. It has now been renamed Ignite Mudra.
 
Ignite Mudra will continue to focus on OOH, promotions and retail marketing. DDB Mudra Group will continue to hold minority stake in the JV.
 
Gupta said, “It is an exciting time to be a part of the marketing services industry. The success we have achieved as Clear Channel Mudra has given me the confidence to take the next step in our growth journey. Along with the team, I am excited at the prospect of what lies ahead for Ignite Mudra. We have already begun initiatives in emerging areas like sports and youth marketing. Also, we are where we are today because of the team that has contributed to our success and has grown along with the organisation.” 
 
Ignite Mudra will continue to work with the clients of Clear Channel Mudra, informed a DDB Mudra Group statement. These include Bata, Budweiser, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Dunkin Donuts,Godrej, Healthkart, Honda, ITC, Michelin, Patanjali, Pepsico, Puma, Reliance Jio, Snapdeal, Sony, Telenor, Vodafone and Worldwide Media.
