Damyant Singh elevated to brand director at Adidas India

Damyant Singh elevated to brand director at Adidas India
Adidas has announced the elevation of Damyant Singh as brand director in India. Singh will report to Dave Thomas, managing director of adidas Group India. Singh succeeds Tushar Goculdas, who was recently appointed as the brand director for Adidas' Emerging Markets.
 
Thomas said, “Damyant is a very experienced marketing professional and has broad experience and strong knowledge of the adidas brand, the Indian sports market and consumers. I am very confident that with him leading the marketing for adidas in India, we will see the brand reach new heights in the coming months and years.”
 
According to a statement from the company, Singh's mandate will include implementation of insightful and enriching consumer experiences, building on the existing athlete portfolio and execution of brand campaigns to reach out to Adidas consumers across the country. 
 
Singh joined the Adidas sports marketing team in 2004. Prior to his new mandate, he was the head of category marketing for adidas in India. He has also worked with DDB Mudra, Bates, Hakudodo Percept and Capital Advertising.
