Dentsu India has launched the Fresher Accelerator Program (FAP) to equip young graduates with the skills, expertise and holistic industry view that prepares them for multiple disciplines within the network. Focused on delivering future-proof solutions that is in line with its client-centric approach, the initiative’s rigorous selection process involves assessments, interviews, and internal tests. Upon successful completion, participants are integrated into core Dentsu India practices.

The six-month programme is designed to bridge the gap between talent and modern business demands. It will cover fundamental aspects of the advertising industry, ensuring participants are well-equipped to thrive in a fast-paced environment, which is at the crossroads of tech, creativity and business.

Through the initial three months of training, it provides comprehensive learning with immersive classroom sessions, live assignments, enriching case studies, and presentation opportunities. Applicants will work on real-world projects, applying their learning in practical scenarios to develop critical skill sets. They will also gain industry knowledge and mentorship from seasoned professionals in addition to engaging in interactive sessions and connecting with a vibrant community of peers.

A 2023 ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook survey revealed that about 80% of employers in India are struggling to find the talent they need, with companies in the communication services sector averaging over 78%. To bridge the skill gap, employers are investing in upskilling their existing talent pipeline and cultivating communities outside the organisation to attract people who can't be built in-house.

Commenting on FAP’s launch, Unmesh Pawar, chief people officer— India and South Asia, Dentsu said, “This programme provides fresh graduates with continuous learning and adaptation opportunities in our fast-paced industry through rigorous training, mentorship, and hands-on experience. We are committed to fostering a diverse, dynamic workplace that promotes creativity and innovation. By investing in great talent to support our clients' transformation journeys in the marketing space, the FAP program is our way of building talent density at Dentsu.”
