Goafest 2018: It's raining awards but no Grand Prix in sight

Awards across six categories for the Creative Abby Awards were announced at Goafest 2018 today. (View the list of the winning entries at the end of the article.)

In the category of 'Video Craft Specialist of the Year' Early Man Film made a cleansweep bagging five Gold, four Silver and seven Bronze metals getting them 92 points. To put a perspective, the second place went to Oink films with just 14 points (one Silver and two Bronze). EarIy Man bagged three Golds for 'The story of Kaveri' campaign for Reforest India and two for Beats for MTV.  

In the 'Still craft specialist agency of the year', The Social Street bagged the top honours with 28 points including two Golds for its campaign for the Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India.

In the 'Broadcaster of the year' category, Sony Pictures Networks was on top with 32 points with Star India following with 22 points. The solitary Gold in this category went to Zee Cinema for 'Zee Cinema Premiere - Dangal'.

In the category, 'Design specialist of the year' Open Strategy & Design with 34 points led the pack with Out of the Box and The Social Street coming at second and third positions respectively. All three agencies bagged a Gold each. 

Out of the Box won Gold for 'Beeskoots' for Mother's Pride/Marvel Group.

Open Strategy & Design's 'Growing Gardens' for GVK Botanicial Gardens won Gold. The Social Street bagged a Gold for 'Forgotten Pieces' for Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India.

For the 'Direct specialist of the year' pi Communications came out on top with 24 points including one Gold, two Silvers and a Bronze. The agency won Gold for 'Union Budget 2018 Decoded' for Aditya Birla Capital - Mutual Funds. 

Other agencies to win Gold in this category included Madison BMB (Family home - Jiyo Parsi) and Star India (Sarabhai vs Sarabhai - Tak 2 naming). 

In the 'Public Relations Specialist of the year' Value 360 communications with a haul of two Golds, four Silvers and two Bronze came out on top with 48 points. Adfactors PR came second with 34 points including two Golds and three Silvers.

Value360 won Gold for 'Paytm Payment Bank - Dawn of a new era of digital banking' and UrbanClap''s 'A government awakening on GST.'

Adfactors PR's Gold came for 'A Green Goodbye' for Vodafone India and 'Kachra bhi achcha hai' for Raipur Kachra Mahustav.

Medulla WYP Network won two Golds for 'Last Laugh' for Indian Association of Palliative Care as did Godrej Group for 'Launch of Godrej Professional'.

FCB India won Gold for '#AskWhy' for Hero Motocorp. The Social Street for 'Life Before Ashes' for Mohan Foundation also won Gold. Dentsu Webchutney's 'Wildcraft Wildings' for Wildcraft also won Gold.

Grey and MSL India were also among Gold winners for 'I'm a Girl' for the Indian Air Force and 'Nayi Umeed - change is near' for Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust respectively.
