Publicis90 shortlist features 21 submissions from India

Publicis Groupe has shortlisted 320 ideas, a combination of start-ups and initiatives, to be part of Publicis90, which will support new businesses and projects in the digital space. Of these, 21 are from India.

Globally, 20 per cent of the shortlist is made up from Publicis Groupe employee submissions. Among Indian shortlists, 14 are from Publicis Groupe employees, 2 from students, 4 from start-ups and 2 from ‘others’.

Entries closed on 29 February and judges have sifted through 3,555 applications.

The final 90 will be chosen in the summer. Each finalist will receive between €10,000 and €500,000, a year of mentoring from a Publicis Groupe executive and a ticket to Viva Technology Paris.

The initative celebrates Publicis Groupe’s 90th anniversary and launched in January.

Maxime Baffert, the chief executive at Proximedia who is leading Publicis90, said, "The quality of the 3,555 submitted projects is very impressive.

"This shortlist reflects the large diversity of applications, from both a geographical and an industry standpoint, and will lead to a final selection of very promising projects and startups. What is clear is that the final selection will not be easy."
