Oreo pits cookie against cream to underline ‘chocolaty’ Choco Cream

Watch the ad film created by Interface Communications

Cadbury India has launched a TVC for Oreo Choco Crème cookies. The film created by Interface Communications went on air on 16 May.

While the previous TVC from the brand showcased the sibling bond of a brother-sister duo, the current film features two young boys enjoying a pack of Oreo Choco Creme.

The younger boy asks if the cream is more ‘chocolaty’ than the cookie, to which the other agrees. They opens up their cookies, lick the cream and agree that the cream is more ‘chocolaty’. They then dunk their cookies in a glass of milk. On eating the Oreo, they realise that the cookie is ‘chocolaty’ too. The film ends with the boys arguing on which is more ‘chocolaty’. The voice over signs off saying, “New Cadbury Oreo Choco Creme’s cookie and the cream are chocolaty. Hence, it’s double double chocolaty.”

On the campaign, Chella Pandyan, associate vice president, marketing, biscuits, Mondelēz International, said, “It’s a well-established fact that chocolate is India’s favourite cream flavor. The uniqueness of Oreo Choco Crème is that both - the cookie and the cream are chocolaty. The TVC highlights the delightful dilemma the two brothers face of deciding which is more chocolaty!”

Robby Mathew, national creative director, Interface Communications, added, “The campaign idea banks on the unique relationship that siblings share. What starts off as a coach-student relationship turns into one of equals, as they together discover Oreo Choco Crème’s double chocolaty delight.”

The main TVC will be supported by four short films that keep the debate going.
